WE MADE HISTORY
I didn't win anything. But no 'what-if's, I won't allow that. Could have managed direction better, but I thought it was a good shot.
When my seniors and teammates lifted their trophies, I thought my heart would burst with pride although it wasn't my hour, ain't it funny?
Cheered my heart out and screamed my throat hoarse as everyone crossed the finishing line.
We are all fired up. Training resumes in a week, and I can't wait.
Heard some gripes after everything was over, but I think they were uncalled for. It may seem as if you deserve what you didn't get. Don't forget that this year is only your first, some of your competitors have been around for at least a year more. On water, not everyone gave their all every instant. Training was so frequent the last few weeks it sometimes seems as if my canoe career so far has centred on those few sessions. But what took place the months before matter too, and I won't ever forget that.
Victory's all the sweeter cos we were the underdogs. And we'll never settle for anything less. Ever

Back from dinner.
I made a joke (to no one) about nothing ever changes in between and on my trips to Genting (this is not true, I just feel that way) except the flavour of the single cup/scoop of ice-cream in my hand. AP was the highlight of my trip to Genting this time. Baskin Robbins ranks after it.
Next, Kuala Lumpur,
XI Asean Summit 12th - 14th
Not that I attended the summit, but I passed KL Convention Centre many times in our aimless drives in the city while we were lost. Just thought I had to mention that.
Berjaya Times Square
Big, big, BIG.
Visited this mall once before it was officially opened. It's so huge, it sometimes looks deserted. But with '3 million visitors each month', deserted it is not (also confirmed by a cook in the food court, who'd lived years before in Toa Payoah Lorong 6). Its sheer size makes you wonder if this mall will survive, but its 'set to become an international landmark offering unparallel shopping, luxury accommodation, business, fine food and beverage and abundant entertainment to the estimated 3 million visitors each month', this number must mean something. What's good is that established brands have as much chance of succeeding as new brands. What's not good? Go figure. Building looks wonderful at night, when the bright and colourful theme park indoor can be seen outside through the glass panels, with the sparkling and magnificent Petronas Twin Towers and Menara KL in the distance.
Between the single/double storey shopping malls and the towering and sprawling omes, both found abroad, I'd choose the malls we have back at home, They are just right in width, breadth and height.

Nothing much to say. I rememeber when it was still the new kid on the block. There are too many malls in Malaysia, specifically in KL.
Alamanda Putrajaya

This guy's search for 'planned cities and attempted utopias' led him to Putrajaya (why no mention of New Towns? At least I studied that). Putrajaya is where the PM's office is located and Alamanda Putrajaya is currently the only shopping mall in it. It resembles Suria KLCC. I like this mall a lot. Do a search on it.
